DRAMATIC WRITING ACROSS THE BORDERS
OF THE EUROPEAN REGION TYROL – SOUTH TYROL – TRENTINO (EUREGIO)
TIROLER LANDESTHEATER, VEREINIGTE BÜHNEN BOZEN and CENTRALE FIES DRO are pleased to announce their OPEN CALL for the first DRAMA LAB in the European region Tyrol – South Tyrol – Trentino (Euregio). Be part of it!
Initiated in collaboration between Tiroler Landestheater, Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen and Centrale Fies, the Euregio Drama Lab offers those involved in dramatic writing in all its forms a unique platform of exchange in the European region Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino (Euregio). Authors and artists from Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino, who have meaningful connections to the Euregio, are invited to submit their ideas for a multi-lingual performance project or text submission by August 31, 2024. A qualified jury will select three candidates on the basis of their submission. They will then meet quarterly for workshops (so-called “drama labs”) in all three regions, where candidates will work on multilingual projects and receive guidance from three renowned mentors (Elisa Di Liberato, Michaela Senn, Benno Steinegger). The partner theaters support this multidisciplinary process with various encounters that afford networking opportunities along with valuable regional impulses. The cross-border initiative culminates in a presentation of the developed works as well as in encounters between theater makers and their audience.

The three institutions add to the labs not only their site-specific resources but also invite participants to approach the Euregio locations from different perspectives. In addition, representatives of the three institutions will be present at the lab days. Digital exchange between the three physical meetings is encouraged.
